An old 4wd track climbs from flats at the forks of Waiau and Edwards passing The Narrows on the western bank. The track intersects the new, maintained Glenhope Station access track just north of Steyning Stream, 60m above the river.
Tin Jug Hut is private, locked and on the opposite (station-owned) bank of the Steyning.
