A private track runs across private Glenhope Statoion land from Steyning Stream to the farm hut just north of the DOC Waiau swingbridge. Permission is required to access this land or use the track.
From the private hut, follow the fenceline south and pick up cattle tracks dropping through thick manuka to the bridge 100m to the south. There is no cut/marked track to the bridge and it can be hard to find but is in the location indicated by the map.
