From the southern end of the gravel area on the saddle at Maymorn Junction, a track climbs briefly to pt822. The signpost is generally destroyed so look out for the track. Once on it the track is well marked and cut, though subject to windfall on the exposed top.

Once on the summit the track swings east and drops steadily to the broad saddle west of Renata Hut. A gentle climb follows and a brief sidle on the northern face to a signposted junction. Renata Hut is 20m down the hill.

From Renata Hut, follow the track west, climbing steadily to pt822, and emerging onto the Oddlands Rd at Maymorn Junction.
