An unexciting 1.5km road walk takes you SW up the valley from the picnic area at Otaki Forks to the Waiotauru Roadend. The DOC campground is just beyond the roadend.

An unexciting 1.5km road walk takes you NE down the valley to the picnic area at Otaki Forks from the Waiotauru Roadend. Parawai Lodge (Hut) is on the opposite bank over the bridge and right - follow the signs.
