A simple, steady climb on a tussock and gravel ridgeline takes you the 1505m Arete Peak, where you finally find warratahs and a poled route..

An easy descent ENE down a tussock ridgeline leads from Arete Peak to pt1434. A few warratahs start pff the route, but these soon end, and the remainder of the range from here is unmarked/unpoled.

pt1334 is the junction with the shark-toothed Bannister Range to the east - a challenging scramble of a route towards Cattle Ridge / Cow Creek / Blue Range.
