Cross Irthing Stream at Mansion Hut and follow up the spur to the ridge (about 1 hour to bushline). The bush is very open and easy going. After a short section of scrub the travel is straight forward along the ridge to Shepherd Saddle. Drop westward off Shepherd Saddle and follow the stream to Irthing Hut.
