Tracking tunnel line on Crombie-Wairaurahiri flats near Crombie Biv.
The yellow-triangle-marked line starts half way up the eastern side of the clearing at Crombie Biv. It follows the course of Crombie Stream north for 2km before crossing to the eastern bank (a fallen tree 100m south of the crossing provides a high-water option). From the stream crossing the marked route continues north across marshy flats for a further 0.5km before starting to ascend the foot of the hills. After about 20 vertical meters it swings abruptly east. Tracking tunnel 59 is about 50m east of the turning point and is on the defined spur climbing to pt210 to the north.
