A poled / marked track runs down the Dingle Valley from Ben Avon, sidling low near the river through beech forest. After 3km the creek crosses a moderate side creek (knee deep) and climbs a spur onto terraces 100m above the river. Cotters Hut is at the rear of this terrace.
