A sporadically poled track runs down the east side of the Dingle Burn from Top Dingle Hut. The historic Ben Avon hut is tucked in the bush 100m east of the track just upriver of the sidestream shown on the map.

From Ben Avon Hut the Dingle Burn Valley Track is a sporadically poled route with reasonable ground trail up the east side of the Dingle Burn. Top Dingle Hut is on a terrace on the bushedge 100m from the river.
