Follow signposted track from Nina Hut down to the terrace above the Nina R whee there is a tree with two orange triangles - turn left to follow the one marked 'biv'. Cross the Nina to it's TL and follow the track to the TR of the Duchess Stream (don't cross). Follow the tk left up to a low flat pad and the old hut site. This is the point to head up the Duchess Stream to Brass Monkey biv (route, unmarked) or continue up the TL of the Nina River to Nina biv.

Note : the old track on the TL of the Nina is in good condition (2018) but there are not walkwires over Duchess nor Lucretia Streams - but easily crossed in low flow.

From the hold hut site, follow the track down the TR of the Duchess Stream then turn right and walk to the Nina River - cross and pick up tape and markers that lead up terraces to Nina Hut.
