The route from Blyth Hut to South East Basin is poled. It is not necessary to climb up to the last pole at SEB. In line with the last pole, sidle left maintaining height. It's a only a short distance before Turoa Skifield car park is reached. A short drop to the car park road, follow this to connect to the Ohakune Mountain Road. A 5 minute walk down the road to connect with the RTM track on the right.
