Now lying within the private land block that splits the area, this was where the track from Waipakihi Hut used to meet the track up from Kiko Rd and the one continuing on to Cascade Hut - this section is still marked on topo maps but you require permission from the leaseholder to use it. The old DOC junction sign has been allowed to remain.
