Note that neither this junction, nor the track to Moerangi, bear any resemblance to that on the map.
- the track to the roadend drops north from the junction as shown on the map.
- the track to Mangamate heads NW from this junction before rounding a spur and swinging SW to sidle the face down to the river (the map shows it heading directly SW down a spur)
- the track to Moerangi heads SE as shown on the map.

To add to the confusion, the signpost points in only 2 directions, 180 degrees opposed, yet lists destinations down all 3 tracks.
