From the saddle east of pt835, the cut, marked tramping track climbs east and starts to swing round the heads of a major watershed to reach Burn Hut. Finally swinging finally NNW the track drops 100m to a saddle, just beyond which Burn Hut sits on a low, but exposed peak.
